Lake Mburo National Park
Lake Mburo is the smallest of Uganda’s savannah national parks and underlain by ancient Precambrian metamorphic rocks which date back more than 500 million years. Home to 350 bird species, zebra, impala, eland, buffalo, oribi, Defassa waterbuck, leopard, hippo, hyena, topi and reedbuck.

Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda's most popular, is located in the south west of the country, surrounded by the Rwenzori Mountains. It is known for its tree-climbing lions, chimpanzees, volcanoes and crater lakes, and salt mining at Lake Katwe.
